Unison: MMU lobby of governors against cuts

We’re calling a lobby outside the next MMU Board of Governor’s meeting - please find attached our flyer. If you can attend please do, please invite and bring along anyone you can;

FRIDAY 26th MARCH, 12:30pm (prompt)
ALL SAINTS PARK, Manchester

We’re meeting in Defence of Jobs, Against Higher Education Cuts, and in anticipation of getting a response from the Board on the petition (of 5,600 signatures, gathered in just 1 week!) we handed to them at their last meeting.

This is a UNISON lobby, but we hope to have as much support as possible from Academics, students, the local community and other Trade Unionists – so please promote this important event, bring down your banners and noise-making devices and get ready to shout our message loud and clear to the Board of Governors: No ifs, No buts, No education cuts.

**
Please note: we're under strict instructions from the regional office of UNISON that no shenanigans may occur at this lobby. Part of this instruction is that nobody other than the UNISON speaker is allowed to have a megaphone - please note that as Head Steward I have been asked to either take megaphones off people or ask them to leave. So... please don't put me in the position where I have to do anything as wack as that! You can bring a big bass drum if you like, you can blow raspberries as loud as you like; anything... just don't bring a megaphone.

We hope to see you next Friday!
