Hundred thousand demand an end to Israel's slaughter in Gaza
Tens of thousands of angry people braved icy conditions and snow
flurries in central London today to protest at the massacre of

report.
Thousands of angry people braved icy conditions and snow flurries
in central London today to protest at the massacre of Palestinians
in the Gaza. Organisers estimate that 100,000 people marched from
Hyde Park to the Israeli embassy in Kensington. With 16 coaches
from Manchester Stop the War alone, the police estimate of 12,000
on the march is a laughable piece of pro-Israeli propaganda.
The people on the demo were speaking out for millions of ordinary
people who are horrified at the brutality of Israel's aggression.
Tens of thousands of trade unionists attended with their banners
together with local stop the war groups, political and religious
organizations, and large numbers of students and activists.
When the march got to the Israeli embassy there were clashes between the police and demonstrators. Police in full riot gear pushed into the crowd and terrified protesters, including families with small children, were crushed against barriers and walls.
We will post more information later. Leave your reports and
